WHY YOU SHOULD HAVE REGULAR EYE EXAMINATIONS

Regular eye examinations are an essential part of routine health care as your eyes can be affected by Glaucoma, Cataracts, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Arthritis and of course age.

We recommend an eye examination every two years whatever your age, however patients who suffer from certain eye conditions like diabetes or glaucoma will be seen more regularly.

Children should have their first eye examination around age three and then consequent eye examinations at intervals recommended by your optician.

We invest continually in the newest technology to provide the most up to date screening and investigative techniques including retinal photography, visual field assessment, binocular vision assessment and glaucoma and cataract screening.

• Aged 40 or over and the parent,brother,sister or child of a glaucoma sufferer
• Registered blind or partially sighted
• Diabetic
• Suffering from glaucoma

If you require a prescription for spectacles after your NHS eye examination then again you may be eligible for help towards the cost of your spectacles.
